JUNE 5, 1962

TUESDAY JUNE 5, 1962
Scored 76% on important geometry test.  (Over)confident that I had 100%.
Scored 77% on physics quiz.
Seventh period, read Susanne's yearbook with her.  Signed a few.
Devoted attention to KM, who unexpectedly complimented me, brightening my afternoon.
Went to Rotondo's after school where we bitterly sliced up everything in a grueling four hour gripe session with the Evans brothers and Tim.
At home got in bad with Ma but cleaned the kitchen to pacify her.
Read and studied late.   SHE STOOPS TO CONQUER.

  1. Tony loves to count everything and keep score. He keeps track of his baseball stats, earnings, helpings of dessert. He records every book he reads and every movie he sees. He can't count something unless he finishes it. This is why he will never miss a day in his journal for the next 50 years. He also keeps meticulous track of his grades. He competes with no other person, only with perfection. It's all a game with simple clear unbending rules. There is probably a definition for this in the psychiatric dictionary.
